Pagani Automobili in North America
July 14, 2014
The Pagani Automobili brand has been launched in North America. The supercar producer will now officially sell the Huayra in the region.
Interestingly, despite deliveries of the car have only just commenced there, the company has announced North America is its largest market. For the first six months of this year 40 per cent of Huayra sales have gone to the United States.
Horacio Pagani, CEO and Chief Designer at Pagani Automobili, comments: “We always knew that the demand for Pagani vehicles from the United States was very high. The Pagani Huayra was the company’s most ambitious project so far. Developing a high performance sportscar from scratch to be compliant with EU and US requirements was a challenge our engineers and designers faced with enthusiasm, to create a Pagani vehicle that could be enjoyed by virtually every potential customer, everywhere around the globe.”
The two-door Huayra coupe is designed by Horacio Pagani and is built in Modena, Italy. The vehicle is powered by a 6.0-liter V12 engine that develops 730 PS (537 kW) and 1,000 Nm (737 lb-ft) of torque. It is mated to a seven-speed sequential transmission which enables the 1,350 kg (2,975 lbs) supercar to accelerate from 0-100 km/h (0-62 mph) in 3.3 seconds and hit a top speed of 370 km/h (230 mph).
